Dr. Iqbal will discuss various ways one can maintain proper kidney function and nutritional habits while also stressing the importance of staying hydrated. She will focus on how failing kidneys can affect one's vitamin D levels.

Following the presentation, Dr. Iqbal will take the time to answer your questions related to kidney function, polycystic kidney disease and renal failure. This will be a very interactive presentation.

About the Speaker

Dr. Sameena Iqbal is a nephrologist (kidney specialist) who has trained at Queen’s and McGill University.  She has completed a master’s degree in community health and epidemiology.  Medical education, chronic kidney disease, kidney care in the community and patient safety are her interests.  The nephrology team is working towards a focused clinic in polycystic kidney disease at the Lakeshore General Hospital.
