We're looking for a Fundraising/Event Coordinator to join our team!
The Fundraising-Event Coordinator will lead and manage all fundraising efforts, including the yearly Walk to END PKD and Bike to the Moon campaigns; in order to secure annual fundraising targets.

The PKD Foundation of Canada is a national, not-for-profit charity that is the only organization in Canada solely dedicated to fighting PKD.
OUR MISSION:
To promote programs of research, advocacy, education, support, and awareness in order to discover treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease and improve the lives of all it affects.
JOB: Full-time Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year / Work location (Remote)

THE ROLE
The Fundraising-Event Coordinator will:
• Create and maintain an annual events calendar to cultivate and engage sponsors, participants, annual donors and the PKD Community
• Identify and evaluate funding prospects, including new fundraising campaigns, grant applications and sponsorship relationships
• Aid in recruiting and managing qualified volunteers
• Lead and oversee relevant committees (e.g., fundraising, gala, volunteer, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience; ideally for a not-for-profit charity or in the healthcare sector, with experience in running regional or national fundraising campaigns
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and fundraising software platforms
• A business or communications degree, or equivalent work experience; additional certification in not-for-profit management or fundraising is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and virtual platforms, specifically Zoom
• Expertise using social media platforms / strong verbal and written communication skill
