#GivingTuesday is November 29th 2022! Help give a voice to a widely unknown disease. Donate this #GivingTuesday to the PKD Foundation of Canada, the only national organization solely dedicated to fighting PKD through research, education, advocacy, support and awareness.

Kidney Month is recognized in March across Canada and the United States. We spend this time raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health, and to reduce the frequency and impact kidney disease and its associated health problems have on an international level.
Build relationships, have fun & make a difference in the Edmonton PKD community!

Join the PKD Foundation of Canada's Edmonton Chapter and help us spread awareness, support PKD patients and make a difference in our community.

Ongoing chapter activities include:

  • Annual Bike to the Moon fundraiser
  • Other local fundraising events
  • High Level Bridge Lighting for PKD Awareness Day
  • Increasing awareness of PKD
  • Educational chapter meetings
  • Support groups & socials

The PKD Foundation of Canada chapters and the volunteers who lead them are the backbone of the polycystic kidney disease (PKD) community.

As a grassroots non-profit organization, the PKD Foundation of Canada prides itself in keeping administration costs low and impact high. In order to do this, we count on volunteers every day to help drive vital programs and awareness around Canada.

Michael's PKD journey: From uncertainty to self-advocacy

Michael Coyle was a new Search-and-Rescue (SAR) recruit in British Columbia two decades ago when his blood pressure showed up abnormally high during training. As it turned out, it was the beginning of the road to a diagnosis that would change his life.
