Hello, everyone! My name is Elyse Gawley and I'm the Vancouver Chapter Coordinator for the PKD Foundation of Canada. I was diagnosed with PKD in 2011 and have a long family history of PKD. When I was 11, my dad had a kidney transplant and my uncle had his transplant 10 year later. After year of dialysis, my paternal grandfather passed away in the early 1990's from complications of PKD. My family has been incredibly fortunate over the years and I feel that it is important to speak up and educate people on the importance of raising awareness of PKD and organ donation.

The Vancouver Chapter aims to consistently improve the support we deliver to our PKD community and we look forward to implementing more educational and social events this year. We thank you for your support and we hope you will join us at our next meeting or event!
