Join us for the upcoming FREE PKD Patient Forum in Ottawa, ON!
Patients and their loved ones are invited to join this forum to:
  • Learn about what a PKD diagnosis can mean for you or a loved one, as well as how PKD can be managed from Dr. Pierre Brown, Nephrologist, Medical Director, Hemodialysis Program and Polycystic Kidney Disease Clinic - The Ottawa Hospital.
  • Hear about what resources and support systems are available to you and your loved ones from Jeff Robertson, Executive Director, PKD Foundation of Canada;
  • Have your questions answered during a Q&A period led by Dr. Pierre Brown and Jeff Robertson; and,
  • Meet other people living with PKD in your community.
Please note that registration will begin at 6:00pm and the presentation will start at 6:30pm sharp!
 

Light food & beverages will be served and parking will be compensated.

About the Speaker:  

Dr. Pierre Antoine Brown, Medical Director, Hemodialysis Program and Polycystic Kidney Disease Clinic.  
 
He graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa and completed residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nephrology, both at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital.
He then completed a Master’s in Science in Medical Informatics, from Northwestern University. He also completed the “Improving Quality and Patient Safety: The Physician Leadership Program” offered by the Telfer School of Management.
His clinical interests include hemodialysis, Polycystic Kidney Diseases (PCKD) and general nephrology. He is the Medical Director for The Ottawa Hospital’s Hemodialysis program.
He is actively involved Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives in the Division of Nephrology.
He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on varied topics including acute dialysis initiation, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. His current research interests include QA and QI projects.
