Join us for a very special National Kidney Month Facebook Live event, as Marianapolis College PKD Awareness Club President welcomes Montreal Nephrologist, Dr. Ahsan Alam to speak. During this session, Dr. Alam will provide information on how your kidneys function, how polycystic kidney disease (PKD) affects them and other organs, and also what can be done to slow the progression of this disease.
Also in attendance will be PKD Foundation of Canada Executive Director, Jeff Robertson and volunteer Montreal Chapter / Walk Coordinator, Luisa Miniaci-Di Leo. Jeff and Luisa will share insight into their family history with this disease, and the work being done by the PKDFOC on both a local and National level to raise critical awareness of PKD and funds for clinical research.
