This is the second year that Amanda’s family’s team, The Beaton PKD Path, has raised money for the Halifax Walk to ENDPKD. The Halifax Walk was started in 2022 by a small group of passionate PKD advocates, including Amanda’s aunt.

Several family members have PKD, including Amanda, her father, and her brother. Amanda is inspired to raise money for PKD to make a difference for her son's generation, so that they never have to go through what their family did before them.

Amanda has worked with the same company for 25 years, and they have become like family. Her work colleagues are very supportive of the Walk to END PKD, and Amanda feels very lucky to work with such caring, generous people.

Thank you to Amanda, her colleagues, Team Beaton PKD Path and all of their supporters, who have raised more than $9,500 for this year’s Walk to END PKD in Halifax!
