Polycystic Kidney Disease-how the diagnosis changed your eating habits and the different treatment plan catered for your kidney function.

Panel consists of the following:

• Dr. Guillaume Bollée, Nephrologist, Director of Rare Kidney disease Clinic at IRCM.
• Alexander McClean, Nutritionist and Renal Dietitian, Lakeshore General Hospital
• Maria Gatto, Renal Nurse and Coordinator of PKD Clinic at MUHC Glen site
• PKD patient

The Nephrologist will talk about the life style changes caused by PKD, and the different treatment options offered to patients.

The Renal Dietitian will do a presentation on eating kidney friendly meals, and will give some tips on making wise decisions while going through the grocery aisles.

The Renal Clinic Coordinator will share information on how patients with kidney failure are treated with care and giving them ease of mind when discussing different forms of dialysis.

The PKD patient will talk about how he/she is managing the disease.
