The Ottawa Chapter is pleased to host a seminar about family planning options and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) as it relates to patients with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Learn about various options in family planning including PGD, as a screening option for those affected by PKD. PGD is a procedure used prior to implantation to help identify genetic defects within embryos created through in vitro fertilization. Decisions on family planning are highly personal; options will be discussed in a supportive and non-judgmental way.
