Ottawa is pleased to announce the second annual Walk to END PKD, taking place on Saturday, September 16 2017! We were successful in our first year in raising money for PKD and we want to challenge ourselves to raise even more funds for critical Canadian research.
This year we will be having our walk at the beautiful Andrew Hayden Park (corner of Carling Ave. and Holly Acres Rd.) along the banks of the Ottawa River. The Walk starts promptly at 11:00 am with on-site registration beginning at 10:00 am.
The walk is 4.5 km around the perimeter of the park. You can do the route once or twice, it is up to you! Following the walk, we invite you and your family & friends to join us for a free barbeque, games and entertainment. There is also a play structure onsite for the younger ones to enjoy!
Polycystic kidney disease is one of the most common life-threatening illnesses that we face today. Presently, there is no cure. Help us raise money to strengthen the PKD Foundation of Canada’s mission to promote programs of research, advocacy, education, support and awareness, so one day we can celebrate a cure. Reach higher and believe we can!
Look forward to seeing you there!
