The PKD Foundation of Canada and The Kidney Foundation are teaming up for a powerful day of action, awareness, and connection.Â
10:00 AM – Welcome & Opening Remarks
Hear from both foundations, local advocates, and community voices as we set the tone for a meaningful day.
11:00 AM – Kidney Walk
Take a symbolic walk along the waterfront in solidarity with patients, caregivers, and transplant recipients. Ends by noon.
12:00 PM – PKD Luncheon
Gather for a casual, kidney-friendly catered lunch with the opportunity to meet PKD patients, living kidney donors, transplant recipients, and healthcare advocates. (Please note: there will be no formal seating or tables — this is a connection-focused, picnic-style lunch.)
We’re proud to partner with the Kidney Foundation of Canada to create a united event experience in Halifax this year. While we’ll walk side by side, each organization is fundraising independently to support our unique missions and the communities we serve.
🎯 Our goal? To raise $10,000 dedicated to supporting PKD patient programs and to fund PKD-specific medical research in 2026.Â
The Walk to END PKD is a beloved tradition that has been a beacon of hope for the PKD Foundation of Canada since 2007, raising over $2,655,000 to date. With each passing year, our excitement grows as we welcome our community to unite with us in our relentless pursuit of a cure for polycystic kidney disease (PKD)!
For 2025 we're planning walks in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Guelph and Calgary. Registration is now open!

"I got involved with the PKD Foundation of Canada because I promised my father that I was going to help find a cure. When the doctors told me that there was nothing to do about PKD and the future of the patients. I told them I disagreed." -Â Luisa, Montreal
