Every Child Matters
We are heartbroken by the discovery of the remains of 215 Indigenous children at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. Our hearts are with all of the survivors, intergenerational survivors and families impacted by Canada’s residential schools.
While we grieve together upon this discovery, it’s also important to acknowledge the tragedies that continue to affect First Nations people today. Uncovering the truth about our nations history and present-day treatment of First Nations people is monumental in reconciliation and healing. As many personal stories about the atrocities experienced at residential schools come to light, we are here to support you. Please reach out if you need.
“Finding our way through the shame to a place of action is where the hope for us as a nation lies.” - Isaac Murdoch
