September 4th is PKD Awareness Day!

Thank You for Raising Your Voice With Us on September 4th!

Once again, Health Canada is recognized September 4th as National Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Awareness Day - a special day devoted to raising awareness of this life-threatening, genetic disease.

Though PKD affects thousands in Canada and millions worldwide, many people have never heard of it. Together, we can change this! #PKDAwarenessDay is our day to raise awareness about this disease and the devastating impact it has on generation after generation.

Mayors Across Canada That Proclaimed Sept. 4th as National Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Day in 2021

We are thrilled to announce that the 2021 #PKDAwarenessDay campaign secured another record-setting number of proclamations, as well as flag raising ceremonies and monument lightings! THANK YOU to the 41 municipalities for showing their support in proclaiming Sept. 4th National Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Day. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the volunteers, chapter coordinators, councillors and mayors that made this happen. Together, we will #endPKD

If you don't see your town or city's mayor here, please contact us so that we can reach out to ask them for support next year.

This is HUGE support for the Canadian PKD community and we couldn't be more appreciative of all the volunteers, Chapter Coordinators, Mayors + Councilors that help to make this happen every year. Together, we will #EndPKD!
