Late-stage PKD can be a lot. You don’t have to carry it alone.
When you're facing things like dialysis, transplant, or what comes next, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed - and hard to find people who truly understand. That’s where PKD Mind Matters Chats come in.
Hosted by the PKD Foundation of Canada, these monthly peer support meetings are a chance to connect with others who get it. No slides, no formal presentations, and nothing recorded - just honest, supportive conversation in real time.
Whether you’re approaching or living with late-stage PKD (eGFR of 20 or less), supporting a loved one, or adjusting to life after transplant, this space is for you. We gather to share experiences, trade ideas for coping, and remind each other we’re not alone in this.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. Just showing up is enough.
Why join? Because talking to others who’ve walked this path can ease the weight a little. You might leave with a helpful idea - or offer a word that helps someone else breathe easier.
If you’ve been craving connection, kindness, or just a space where you don’t have to explain yourself, we hope you’ll join us.
These chats are open to patients, caregivers, friends, and family. All are welcome.
So grab a tea, find a quiet spot, and come as you are. We’ll be here.
