Life after transplant can be complicated. There’s often relief - but also new questions, unexpected challenges, and emotions that don’t always get talked about.
Adjusting to life post-transplant can bring a mix of gratitude, uncertainty, and sometimes isolation. It can be hard to find a space where you can speak openly about all of it - the good, the difficult, and everything in between. That’s where this PKD Mind Matters Chat comes in.
Hosted by the PKD Foundation of Canada, this one-hour, small-group evening session is just for people living with PKD who have received a kidney and/or liver transplant. No slides, no formal presentations, and nothing recorded - just honest, supportive conversation with others who truly understand this stage of the journey.
This is a safe space to share the realities of post-transplant life - including the parts that can feel difficult or complicated. Recovery, side effects, shifting identity, relationships, fears, relief - whatever feels most present for you is welcome here, without judgment or expectation.
You don’t need to have the “right” perspective. You don’t need to feel a certain way about your transplant. Just showing up is enough.
Why join? Because connecting with others who have lived through similar experiences can make the path feel less lonely - and sometimes help make sense of things that are hard to put into words.
If you’ve been wanting a space where you can be honest about your post-transplant experience, without having to filter or explain, we hope you’ll join us.
This session is open to PKD patients who are post-transplant.
So grab a tea, find a quiet spot, and come as you are. We’ll be here.
