Who Are You Walking For?
There is no cure. Until one is found, every generation of every family living with PKD is at risk.
Nina walks for her daughter, and for the children of others with PKD.
There is still so much work to be done. I will continue to push through the barriers, and do what I can to make even a little bit of a difference, and race toward the finish line - which is a cure!
Learn more about Nina's motivation, below.
Voices of PKD - Nina
I was less than a month away from being on dialysis for eight years. The same number of years that my mom was on dialysis, before she passed away in 2006. She was only 45; I am now 43.
Nina hoped and prayed for a kidney transplant for years. Read her moving story about the month that changed her life forever.

Voices of PKD - Susan
Sometimes living with a life-threatening disease gets overwhelming, and that’s when I head out to the mountains where I can connect with nature, and rejuvenate my body and soul.
Susan was diagnosed with PKD when she was in her early 40s. Read about her journey so far, and her love of being active in nature to help manage her physical and mental health. Read her story here.
Peaks for PKD Update
Have you been following Eric Hampel's preparations for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this October, to raise awareness and funds for PKD research and patient supports?
Check out Eric's latest update, where he talks about what keeps him motivated to continue training through challenges.
Patients who have gone through challenges like dialysis, transplant, kidney pain, etc. have it much worse than I will, even at the hardest point of the hike.
