Chapter Meetings and Science Cafés

The Montreal Chapter’s educational meetings and Science Cafés offer essential knowledge and connection. Led by nephrologists, nutritionists, and community health experts, these sessions cover topics such as kidney function, nutrition, lifestyle habits, and emotional wellness for people with PKD. Events often include Q&A periods, interactive discussions, and patient perspectives. Participants learn practical strategies for living well with PKD and get the chance to meet others who share their journey. These events strengthen health literacy and support among patients and caregivers, encouraging a proactive approach to disease management within a compassionate, local community.

PKD Patient Forums

Held in collaboration with local specialists like Dr. Guillaume Bollée, Montreal PKD Patient Forums provide a safe, informative space for people affected by PKD to come together. These free events include expert presentations, open Q&A sessions, and updates from the PKD Foundation of Canada. Forums cover everything from understanding a diagnosis to navigating treatment options and support services. The goal is to empower patients and caregivers with knowledge while building a strong sense of community. These events foster hope, reduce isolation, and equip attendees to better manage their health and advocate for their needs.
